Meet Thomas Dickmeis – owner and founder of Dickmeis Motorsport. As a trained industrial mechanic and certified automotive technician, he learned the ins and outs of metalworking and part fabrication from the ground up. Whether welding, milling, turning, or drilling – he masters a wide range of manufacturing techniques, allowing him to customize and adapt special parts and components without limits.
Thomas has many years of experience in both areas, private and professional motorsport. His journey began with the private racing team Pohlen Racing, where he started as a mechanic and accompanied the team’s development from the Beetle Cup to the VLN Endurance Championship. He played a key role in concept development and the construction of a C-Class prototype during this time.
At Panasonic Toyota Racing, he spent several years working as a Formula 1 workshop mechanic, responsible for the assembly and maintenance of the Formula 1 cars. One of his most exciting projects during this time was building the Formula 1 simulator, where he demonstrated his precision and expertise. After that, Thomas led the rebuild of rally raid vehicles for X-Raid GmbH for a period of time and supported testing and races in the FIA Rally Raid World Championship in preparation for the legendary Rallye Dakar.
After all of that, he took the leap to do it all on his self, which opened the door to a wide range of exciting new projects. Dickmeis Motorsport was born!
